About the role

  • RBC Insurance Advisor providing life, health, and wealth solutions to Canadian clients. Building a book of business through prospecting, referrals, and client-focused financial advice.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with clients through discovery to understand their life events and provide comprehensive insurance and financial advice
  • Independently prospect, develop, and grow a new book of business through targeted outreach, networking, and relationship-building
  • Meet clients at their convenience in a digital environment
  • Develop and deepen client relationships using Salesforce and compliant customer tools/electronic forms
  • Contribute to team sales success by achieving individual sales goals
  • Increase external networks through market opportunities and referrals from approved centers of influence
  • Review individual business results and adjust activities to meet targets
  • Deliver on RBC’s vision to be among the world’s most trusted and successful financial institutions

Requirements

  • Business development and prospecting skills with a goal-oriented attitude and strong ambition to succeed
  • 2+ years’ professional sales experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Life/A&S License (HLLQP/LLQP), or willingness to complete before the start date
  • Existing network of referrals and approved centers of influence
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent
  • Digital literacy using a variety of systems and tools
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and own vehicle required for travelling to meet clients within a designated area
  • Fluent in English + other language (nice to have)
  • Industry designations preferred: CFP, CLU, CHS
  • Great communication skills (nice to have)
