About the role
- Full Stack Software Engineer building scalable Django, Angular, and Ionic applications for RideCo’s cloud-based on-demand transit platform. Owning end-to-end features across web, mobile, and backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable Django APIs
- Implement data models and business logic for complex interactions and high transaction volumes
- Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance
- Develop dynamic, user-friendly Angular interfaces for desktop and mobile
- Create reusable UI components and responsive designs
- Optimize front-end performance
- Design and develop hybrid Ionic mobile applications for Android and iOS
- Add mobile features while ensuring cross-platform compatibility
- Collaborate with designers on intuitive mobile interfaces
- Work with product managers, designers, and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and cross-team collaboration
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack
- Maintain and modernize existing codebases
- Lead code reviews and recommend new tools, frameworks, and processes
- Improve team workflows, tools, and processes
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining responsive web applications
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience developing hybrid mobile applications using Ionic
- Proficiency in Python (Django or Flask) and Angular frameworks
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, EC2, RDS)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes
