About the role
- Business Intelligence Consulting Intern supporting RSM clients with SQL, dashboards, data models, and prototypes. Collaborating with consulting teams in a hybrid, client-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Execute solution delivery engagements
- Discern, define, refine, and document client requirements
- Build reports, dashboards, and scorecards using a variety of tools
- Provide ongoing support to existing clients
- Build demonstration scenarios and prototypes
- Collaborate effectively with consultants in other regions and practices
- Provide operational support to RSM clients and engagement teams
- Travel to assigned client locations as required
Requirements
- Working towards B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems
- 90 credit hours completed
- Developing proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services
- Ability to work with data visualization tools and dashboards
- Strong Excel fundamentals
- Experience using T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, views, and functions
- Experience with normalized and de-normalized data models
- Experience developing basic web/desktop applications using ASP.NET framework
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources
- Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be a team player able to work in virtual teams and independently
- Must have access to and be able to arrange reliable transportation to assigned client locations
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
