Responsibilities
Architect and guide the implementation of complex, high-impact product features and systems
Lead cross-team technical initiatives, collaborating across departments to align on solutions and priorities
Mentor and coach developers across all levels, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing
Champion best practices in software architecture, testing, security, and performance
Identify and lead efforts to address technical debt, system reliability, and process improvements
Represent technical perspectives in product planning, working closely with Product Management and UX
Provide expert input during code and design reviews, ensuring high quality and maintainability
Contribute to the evolution of Safe’s development culture, standards, and tooling strategy
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience, including technical leadership of complex projects and systems
Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in C++ for core system development; strong Python skills specifically for automation and scripting; expert-level architectural design, debugging, and optimization within large-scale distributed systems.
Influential communicator and mentor; able to align teams, foster collaboration, and lead through change
Strategic thinker with a systems-level perspective; proactive in identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement; skilled at balancing technical depth with business context
