About the role
- Salesforce Solution Architect advising Canadian Public Sector enterprises on Salesforce architecture and implementations. Leading customer workstreams, risk resolution, and business-value-driven platform solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more workstreams in sophisticated enterprise customer engagements
- Partner with collaborators to drive and achieve customer vision and complete key deliverables
- Serve as a hands-on advisor and Salesforce product and platform authority
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients
- Identify and lead internal initiatives to grow the consulting practice
- Contribute to the community knowledge base and expertise
- Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying technologies that increase business value
- Communicate sophisticated concepts and provide creative, prescriptive thinking across client organization levels
- Identify and proactively lead risk areas through complete resolution
- Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions with customers and third-party partners
- Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts
- Drive program vision and advise on program/project strategies enabling Salesforce platform technologies
- Analyze requirements and information and craft comprehensive solutions
- Facilitate presentations and discovery sessions
- Engage with Customer Success, Product teams, cloud-specific practice teams, internal communities, and the external marketplace
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycle
- Extensive experience with configuration and customization on the Salesforce platform
- Authority-level experience defining system architecture landscapes, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering comprehensive solutions
- Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed system and functional designs
- Experience detailing business processes and wire-framing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, and similar methods
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a large-scale/enterprise implementation with multiple work streams
- Ability to connect with people in diverse roles
- Ability to solve problems resourcefully and entrepreneurially
- Possible travel of about 25%
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
- Must be a Canadian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Canadian Government Security Clearance
- Reliability Clearance requires 5 years of verifiable work and residence history, generally from within Canada
- Secret Clearance requires 10 years of verifiable work and residence history, generally from within Canada
- Preferred: delivering high-value business outcomes using an agile approach
- Preferred: confirmed results leading customer and/or partner success stories
- Preferred: Experience Cloud experience
- Relevant Salesforce certifications and consulting experience strongly recommended
- Preferred: Public Sector client experience
