About the role
- Honing Machine Operator at Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. Operating production processes and ensuring quality standards in aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment
- Perform problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by machine
- Analyze machine problems and take corrective action in timely manner
- Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work
- Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems
- Required to train other operators as needed
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma
- Equivalent machining background or mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret production prints
- Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work
