About the role
- CNC turning machine operator producing aerospace components for Schaeffler, a global automotive, aerospace, and industrial technology company. Operating CNC and robotic systems while inspecting quality, troubleshooting processes, and maintaining production standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate multiple CNC production processes
- Set up and operate robotic loading systems
- Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot production/process issues to meet required standards
- Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced by the process
- Monitor the production process according to the maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in a timely manner
- Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment to assess quality
- Follow and accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
- Train other operators as needed
- Work in other departments or occasionally set up a machine for others to operate
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards in all areas
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma
- Related turning experience or mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret production prints
- Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
- Ability to set up and operate multiple CNC production processes
- Ability to set up and operate robotic loading systems
- Ability to perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot production/process issues
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment for work inspection
- Ability to accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
- Ability to perform routine maintenance
- Ability to train other operators as needed

- Competitive wages – starting rate: $30.85; top rate: $35.87 per hour + shift premiums
