About the role
- Highway maintenance operator operating snowplows and heavy equipment for Ledcor, a diversified infrastructure construction company. Maintaining Ontario highways year-round, including winter repairs and hazard remediation.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round
- Assist with labourer duties, including pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Respond to various weather patterns through shift work, on-call work, and night shifts
Requirements
- Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement
- Copy of a 3-year commercial driver’s abstract
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and perform similar physical tasks
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
- Local applicants preferred due to the work location
- Availability for shift work, on-call work, and night shifts
