About the role
- Millwright Apprentice maintaining and troubleshooting industrial machinery at Schaeffler Aerospace Canada. Performing repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance while pursuing a 433A license.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance work on industrial machinery
- Read drawings and communicate problems to Journeyman Millwright
- Work unsupervised to a high standard and to deadlines
- Troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns
- Identify and/or repair or replace defective machine parts and equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on industrial equipment
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma
- Demonstrated competency all facets of cell/department operations
- High level of mechanical aptitude and/or hold certification in skills related to associated discipline
- Knowledge of Schaeffler production and quality systems
- Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard and to deadlines
- Ability to troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns
- Pursuing or planning to pursue your Millwright License (433A)
- Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
- Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
