Technical Writer responsible for drafting and managing documentation for SpryPoint's cloud-native utility software. Collaborating with teams to ensure users can effectively utilize products and stay informed.
Responsibilities
Create, update, and manage user guides, release notes, and other technical documentation to support SpryPoint’s product offerings.
Ensure release notes are accurate, clear, and completed on time for every sprint, consistently meeting the bi-weekly deadlines.
Work closely with product managers, developers, and customer support teams to gather information and understand the intricacies of our products.
Convert complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content for end-users with varying levels of technical expertise.
Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent with SpryPoint’s style and branding guidelines.
Review and edit documentation created by other team members to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to the company’s standards.
Establish and maintain templates, guidelines, and best practices for technical documentation.
Collect and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality and relevance.
Requirements
2-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a software or technology-related environment.
Strong understanding of software development processes and ability to comprehend technical concepts quickly.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency with documentation tools such as GoogleDocs, Snagit, Microsoft Word, or similar software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable; however, equivalent real-world experience with technical writing for a software company is also welcome.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
