Engineering internship providing support to water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team at Stantec to gain real-world experience.
Responsibilities
Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Process Water group.
Support the field construction and commissioning team on ongoing projects. This may involve:
Monitoring and reporting on current construction activities.
Assisting the commissioning lead with startup and commissioning activities.
Onsite document management including deficiency reviews, asset management, document review, and quality assurance.
Utilize knowledge of the general concepts of relevant basic engineering elements.
Generate preliminary calculations and reports.
Review drawings and complete audits on relevant project design elements.
Perform due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects.
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Requirements
3rd or 4th year engineering students able to take an internship/co-op term are encouraged to apply.
Valid driver’s licence and a satisfactory driving record, with the ability to travel to project sites as required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Access, Project, or similar tools is considered an asset.

Attention to detail, with the ability to review own work for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and actively contribute to problem‑solving through critical and creative thinking.
