About the role

Power BI Developer collaborating on data insights and reporting for program management at Stantec. Supporting transformational project solutions in diverse sectors like engineering and construction.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
Collect and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights.
Use statistical methods to interpret data and generate useful business reports.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and cleaning processes.
Collaborate with the Controls team and other teams to resolve data-related issues.
Assist with Business Process development regarding data gathering and analysis

Ability to work with large complex data models
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI is strongly preferred, but similar alternatives may be considered).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task, manage time, organize, set priorities, and make timely decisions.
Experience with large public sector programs in water or transportation
Prior work in project controls
Experience with API calls and management (e.g., REST)
Experience with Middleware tools (e.g., Boomi, Power Automate)
Previous leadership and management of team
Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering)
Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong Power BI (or similar) experience is required.
Industry-specific knowledge and experience (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction).
