About the role

  • DevOps Platform Engineer designing production-grade AI agents and automation tooling at Sun Life. Collaborating on core DevOps practices and ensuring platform reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate AI agents that automate tasks across the SDLC
  • Engineer LLMOps infrastructure: prompt pipelines, tool-calling agents, orchestration, evaluation, observability, and reliability
  • Integrate agents with enterprise systems
  • Ensure AI solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements from the start
  • Own and evolve core DevOps tooling
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and container-based deployments
  • Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization
  • Embed security scanning, policy enforcement, and security remediation into pipelines

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on CI/CD and platform engineering experience in enterprise environments
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Python, Java, .NET, Groovy — and willingness to work across all of them
  • Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-based tools or agents in production or near-production environments
  • Strong understanding of LLMOps concepts: prompt management, tool use, agent architectures, evaluation, observability
  • Experience with Git-based workflows, build automation, and release pipelines at scale
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, containers, and configuration management
  • DevSecOps mindset — security is a design constraint, not a checklist item
