About the role
- Junior SSIS/SSAS Developer implementing and managing Global Data Mining projects for Sun Life. Collaborating on technical reporting functions requiring ETL data flow expertise.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Global Data Mining projects and support reporting functions requiring technical skills with latitude in approach and analysis
- Participate in defining the objectives, scope, and requirements of assigned activities, analyze issues and problems and determine the best approach and methodology to address them
- Translate client (internal/external) requirements into ETL data flows from source to target
- Support marketing research, statistical analysis, ad-hoc reporting and the implementation of necessary system and operational controls, to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry legislation and/or internal company policies
Requirements
- University degree in Science, Mathematics, or Statistics or College diploma in Information Technology or Computer Programming
- 3 years experience in designing ETL solutions and packages in SSIS (or similar constructs in other leading ETL applications like Informatica PowerCenter)
- 3 years experience with Visual Basic or C#
- 3 years experience with SSMS and SQL queries
- 3 years experience with SSAS
- 3 years experience in data analysis, and project management techniques
- Experience deploying SSIS solutions with environment variables and scheduling using SQL Server Agent
- Experience deploying SSAS solutions
- Experience with SSRS, R or Tableau
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access including VBA
- Understanding of Life Insurance and/or Segmented Funds
- Knowledge of projects and systems development methodologies
