Mainframe COBOL developer designing and supporting ATM and cash-management systems for TD, a major North American bank. Building enterprise solutions with JCL, DB2, IMS, and related tools.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver mainframe ATM and Cash Management solutions
Perform application design and development activities
Create and maintain quality code consistent with standards
Provide code maintenance and support during testing cycles and post-production deployment
Participate in peer code reviews
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, security teams, and vendor partners
Create and maintain system documentation
Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, TD security, and control standards
Develop technical deliverables throughout detailed design and development phases
Identify gaps and redesign solutions as needed
Troubleshoot and optimize system performance
Participate in an on-call rotation one week per month
Work primarily onsite at a TD location for meetings, team events, and experiences
Requirements
7+ years development and end-to-end design experience in Mainframe Technologies
7+ years experience in JCL, COBOL, DB2, IMS
Hands-on experience with File-Aid, CA7, Endeavor and ICE tools
3+ years production support experience in a batch environment
Experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, and JIRA
Advanced knowledge of technology, tools, programming languages, processes, and procedures for mainframe development
Strong technology background as a Mainframe COBOL developer with experience building large-scale enterprise solutions
Database knowledge and hands-on experience accessing large RDBMS
Experience within ATM environments is good to have
Experience developing solutions leveraging AI technologies is good to have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
