About the role

  • Pharmacy Assistant preparing medications and supporting inventory management in Richmond Hill pharmacy. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure patient care and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare medications accurately using both manual methods and state-of-the-art robotic dispensing systems
  • Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies across standard and central fill operations
  • Process administrative tasks including insurance claims, patient record management, and pharmacy software documentation
  • Support high-volume central fill operations with precision and efficiency
  • Maintain compliance by ensuring a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment while adhering to all provincial pharmacy regulations and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Pharmacists, RPTs, and team members to deliver excellent patient service

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent hands-on pharmacy role
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills—accuracy is critical
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Solid understanding of provincial pharmacy regulations and guidelines
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program (Nice-to-have)
  • Experience with pharmacy software and computer systems (Nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with robotic dispensing systems and central fill operations (Nice-to-have)
  • Proven track record of steady employment and reliability (Nice-to-have)
