About the role

Bilingual IT Business Analyst translating business requirements into accessible web solutions for TELUS Health’s pension and employee-benefit systems. Collaborating with development, UX, product, and QA teams.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into detailed specifications and participate in high-level design and estimation
Design software solutions aligned with solution architecture and technical roadmap
Collaborate with development teams to define functional specifications and required system changes, including non-functional requirements
Provide technical support and leadership during incidents or service interruptions
Design intuitive solutions that add value for users
Break down development elements into small user-benefiting increments
Collaborate with the Software Product Owner, UX designers, and key partners in a matrix structure
Produce user-community documentation, including release notes and guides
Document designs within allotted timeframes
Work with developers and quality assurance to ensure understanding of designs and alignment of development initiatives
Support development and QA delivery teams to ensure quality deliverables

Degree in computer science, business analysis, administration, actuarial mathematics, or related relevant field
5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, or equivalent with expertise in managing complex systems
Bilingual in French and English, oral and written
Experience collaborating with a UI/UX design team
Ability to understand the principles of ergonomic and accessible web application design
Excellent synthesis skills and ease in understanding, systematizing, and simplifying technical concepts
Strong analytical skills
Ability to understand and use common IT technologies
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Experience in a SAFe environment or large-scale Agile methodology is an asset
Experience with digital transformations or modernization initiatives is an asset
Knowledge of best practices in product or program management is an asset
Intermediate knowledge of English is required for regular interaction with external and internal parties and use of English IT applications or software
