About the role
- Node.js engineer developing Tether’s P2P stack and expanding its 1,500+ npm-module ecosystem. Building modular software for Tether’s global blockchain and digital-finance products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Tether's P2P stack
- Expand Tether's ecosystem of over 1500 public npm modules
- Build and maintain modular code within a robust codebase
- Work as part of a dynamic, globally distributed team
Requirements
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications
- Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules
- Solid skillset in testing & debugging
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team
- Good communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++), or binding JS to lower-level code
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems, including latency and throughput
- Preferred: Familiarity with advanced networking concepts
- Preferred: Past contributions to OSS projects, especially in P2P or decentralized tech
