Responsibilities
- Pitch compelling story ideas explaining the impact of AI and technology
- Develop sources to break news and produce exclusive stories
- Write profiles and features
- Write clearly and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with department and newsroom colleagues on story ideas and presentation
- Explore storytelling formats beyond standard approaches
- Participate in Globe subscriber events
- Collaborate with reporters and editors across the newsroom
- Report to the AI and technology editor within the Report on Business section
Requirements
- Ambitious reporter with relentless curiosity about AI and emerging technologies
- Ability to understand and explain AI’s impact on people, businesses, governments and power brokers
- Ability to pitch compelling story ideas
- Ability to develop sources and break news
- Ability to produce exclusive stories, profiles and features
