About the role
- Visual merchandising specialist creating AI-powered product concepts, mockups, and Figma presentations. Helping THE/STUDIO’s custom manufacturing platform drive customer retention and new projects.
Responsibilities
- Identify products, ideas, trends, and creative directions relevant to individual customers
- Curate product concepts based on customer brands, industries, audiences, previous orders, and upcoming opportunities
- Build moodboards and visual style references
- Design polished product recommendation decks in Figma Slides
- Create concepts for seasonal moments, launches, events, campaigns, and cultural trends
- Brainstorm product-line expansion ideas and surface unexplored manufacturable categories
- Use AI image-generation and design tools to create realistic product mockups based on customer brand identities
- Apply logos, colors, graphic language, patterns, mascots, packaging systems, and brand elements to product mockups
- Track customer-created products, favored categories, and expansion opportunities
- Identify high-value accounts for proactive inspiration outreach
- Build and maintain the internal inspiration database with product ideas, references, success stories, trends, and manufacturing techniques
- Identify triggers for proactive customer inspiration outreach
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Sales, Sourcing, and Marketing teams on repeatable outreach workflows
- Communicate directly with customers through concise written messages and occasional client calls
- Present creative ideas, gather brand context, and help customers discover their next product opportunities
- Drive project conversion, customer retention, re-engagement, output quality, and systemic efficiency
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience or a strong portfolio demonstration in visual merchandising, product development, apparel/merchandise design, brand strategy, or e-commerce creative roles
- Fashion design background highly preferred
- Strong aesthetic judgment and keen eye for design, color, branding, and product styling
- Strong proficiency in Figma and Figma Slides
- Hands-on experience with AI image-generation tools such as Midjourney and DALL-E
- Basic image editing and mockup creation skills
- Ability to work independently as a remote contractor, manage deadlines, and solve problems proactively
- Active curiosity about consumer products, fashion, streetwear, corporate merchandise, packaging, and retail trends
- Strong written English skills
- Confidence communicating directly with clients
- Must have necessary work tools and a fast, stable internet connection
