About the role

  • Project Manager leading the day-to-day delivery of construction projects at Third Space. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the safe delivery of construction activities in Vancouver.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of construction projects
  • Working collaboratively with partners to ensure development objectives are achieved
  • Accountable for planning, coordinating, and safe delivery of construction activities
  • Active involvement in sequencing, site coordination, quality control, and issue resolution
  • Promoting and leading a strong safety culture on site
  • Supporting the commitment to delivering net-zero buildings
  • Managing all aspects of construction delivery from pre-construction through close-out
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules
  • Actively participating in the procurement process
  • Reviewing construction documents for constructability and schedule impacts
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with in-house teams

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology or Construction Management an asset.
  • 3+ years experience in Construction in a Project Management capacity preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of B.C. building code and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, MS Project and Procore.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract specifications, drawings and other construction documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize work load and stay on top of things as the project demands increase.
  • Self-motivated with strong willingness and ability to learn and be challenged.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution abilities.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
