About the role
- Project Manager leading the day-to-day delivery of construction projects at Third Space. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the safe delivery of construction activities in Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of construction projects
- Working collaboratively with partners to ensure development objectives are achieved
- Accountable for planning, coordinating, and safe delivery of construction activities
- Active involvement in sequencing, site coordination, quality control, and issue resolution
- Promoting and leading a strong safety culture on site
- Supporting the commitment to delivering net-zero buildings
- Managing all aspects of construction delivery from pre-construction through close-out
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules
- Actively participating in the procurement process
- Reviewing construction documents for constructability and schedule impacts
- Collaborating cross-functionally with in-house teams
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology or Construction Management an asset.
- 3+ years experience in Construction in a Project Management capacity preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of B.C. building code and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, MS Project and Procore.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret contract specifications, drawings and other construction documents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize work load and stay on top of things as the project demands increase.
- Self-motivated with strong willingness and ability to learn and be challenged.
- Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution abilities.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
