About the role

  • Disaster Recovery Manager developing and managing disaster recovery plans to ensure operational continuity during disruptions. Collaborating with IT teams and management to identify risks and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage disaster recovery plans to ensure continuity of critical operations during disruptions.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams, business units, and senior management to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Establish recovery objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct and review the outcomes of Application Business Impact Analysis (ABIA) and align the Disaster Recovery framework.
  • Manage and maintain the overall IT Disaster Recovery program, including DR Policy, DR Guidelines, DR Governance and Change Management.
  • Coordinate and lead disaster recovery exercises and tests to validate recovery strategies.
  • Educate staff on disaster recovery procedures and develop training courses.
  • Build and maintain strong positive working relationships with colleagues and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure projects and delivering mission critical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of IT security breaches and cybersecurity threats.
  • Working knowledge of standards and guidance related to Business Continuity Management & DR standards (ISO27031, ISO22301, FFIEC, NIST).
  • Relevant certifications such as CBCP, DRCS, or similar preferred.
  • Proficiency in disaster recovery software and tools.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
