Program Manager leading the orchestration of transformational initiatives under Mitacs' Transformation Management Office. Focused on ensuring alignment and delivery across multiple corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the BGT portfolio to ensure organizational transformation initiatives are aligned with the organization’s priorities.
Lead end-to-end implementation of organizational transformation programs: planning, execution, risk and issue management, dependency management, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and achievement of key program objectives.
Work closely with transformation sponsors, workstream leads, and cross-functional teams to integrate multiple workstreams and create a coordinated roadmap to meet program objectives and ensure successful adoption.
Manage vendor coordination and governance, including day-to-day relationship management with consulting partners.
Provide regular written and verbal updates to senior leadership, workstream leads, and stakeholders on program progress, key performance indicators, and risks.
Requirements
8+ years of program management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Proven experience coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives or portfolios.
At least five years of direct management experience supervising project managers or in a similar role.
Program management (PgM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent.
Expertise with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Planner, Jira, or other leading platforms.
Experience managing portfolio budgets in excess of $10 million.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience managing external consulting partners (e.g., Big 4).
Proficiency in written and spoken English is required for this role.
