About the role
- Senior Program Manager delivering client programs for DNAstack’s precision medicine and biomedical data-sharing software. Coordinating cross-functional teams, budgets, contracts, and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive external client programs, ensuring successful execution of contracted deliverables
- Address client inquiries and maintain high-level stakeholder engagement
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams
- Negotiate priorities and remove execution roadblocks
- Identify project execution risks and enact mitigation strategies with internal teams
- Organize and facilitate weekly external and internal meetings
- Prepare agendas and presentations, take minutes, and send succinct actionable summary communications
- Manage project budgets, external reports, and invoicing
- Identify and lead strategic opportunities to expand services to existing and new clients
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership teams by providing insights, rationale, and recommendations
- Support, develop, and model best project management practices
- Embed and support customer success practices throughout project management
- Drive additional strategic initiatives based on business needs and opportunities for impact
- Report to the Director of Market Development
- Contribute to projects advancing research in Parkinson’s disease, ALS, Autism, genomics, and health research
Requirements
- 5-10 years of hands-on project management experience, within a B2B or SaaS environment
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role, managing external stakeholders on high-value contracts (e.g. valued at >$1M CAD)
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex programs with formal reporting obligations
- Experience drafting and managing commercial contracts
- Strong working knowledge of PMBOK process groups and their practical application
- Commercial judgement in contract negotiation and scope management
- Ability to manage multiple large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects simultaneously
- Exemplary written and verbal communication; able to convey complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences
- Excellent collaboration and relationship building
- Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-driven and able to work independently, while also maintaining transparency within teams
- Proactive leader and problem solver; showcases creativity in addressing challenges and offering solutions to complex problems
- Quick learner and curious team player, unafraid to ask questions
- Ability to lead tasks with limited precedents and prior references available
- Adaptable and flexible, able to adjust priorities based on company needs while maintaining external commitments
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align project initiatives with broader organizational goals and objectives
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Preferred: prior experience working with product and/or engineering teams
- Preferred: previous employment within a small, agile team such as a startup or small business
- Knowledge of technology, data sharing, genomics, or bioinformatics an asset
- Experience in customer success, product marketing, or community management
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tooling
- Experience in genomics, life sciences, or a regulated technical domain considered an asset
- PMP certification highly preferred
