About the role

  • Senior Technical Support Analyst managing large enterprise Cisco networks and providing ongoing IT support for the City of Toronto. Leading technical projects and ensuring system improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large enterprise Cisco WAN/LAN networks
  • Participate in safeguarding, implementing, administering, and optimizing the City’s WAN/LAN environment
  • Provide ongoing support for IT solutions
  • Lead technical project teams
  • Perform analysis and contribute technical consultations
  • Ensure adequate pro-active action for enterprise systems
  • Provide advanced technical support for critical enterprise applications
  • Conduct business impact analyses

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science
  • Recognized certification such as CCNP, FCP, FCSS or equivalent
  • Extensive experience with enterprise clustered high-availability firewalls and load balancers, including Checkpoint or Fortinet
  • Experience in building clustered enterprise Data Center using Cisco ACI
  • Considerable experience with intrusion detection and vulnerability assessment in perimeter network
  • Experience in LAN/WAN/Wired/Wireless administration in Cisco network environment utilizing TCP/IP and Cisco Routing and Switching technologies
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Province of Ontario, Class "G" Driver's License and access to a vehicle
