About the role

  • Environmental Project Manager supporting delivery of environmental solutions for various sectors. Leading project teams and developing client relationships within a collaborative team culture in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks
  • Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of deliverables
  • Maintaining, establishing, and developing client relationships that facilitate the successful delivery of projects and future opportunities
  • Understanding environmental Best Management Practices and advising clients accordingly
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with other consultants, construction contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting corporate business development initiatives, including compiling and reporting on regional business development opportunities
  • Leading and/or supporting the preparation of proposals and cost estimates
  • Maintaining and enhancing Triton’s industry-wide reputation as a leader in the environmental consulting industry
  • Providing mentorship and training for project staff
  • Providing excellent service to clients, building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships
  • Ensuring safety standards are met, protecting your team and clients
  • Collaborating effectively within Triton’s culture, contributing to a positive and productive work environment

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., biology, environmental science, geology, geography) is an asset
  • Professional designation or eligibility is preferred
  • Experience working within the environmental consulting industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with provincial and federal environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in project management (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting and scope control) and leading and supervising of project teams
  • Business development acumen (e.g., client relationships, strategic planning, proposal writing)
  • A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes
  • Effective writing skills and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals
  • Organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style
  • Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with strong strategic thinking skills
