Responsibilities
Develop and update Python-based applications and tools to automate common analytics workflows and repetitive analyst tasks.
Build and maintain internal APIs and command-line tools that allow stakeholders to request and access data more easily.
Collaborate with analysts to identify automation opportunities and transform manual reporting into efficient, reusable programs.
Partner with the Data Engineering and Data Operations teams to integrate tools with data warehouse layers and AWS services.
Implement best practices for version control, testing, deployment, and documentation for all analytics tooling.
Continuously monitor tool usage and performance, iterating to improve speed, reliability, and usability.
Write advanced SQL queries to support tool functionality and troubleshoot data requests.
Requirements
3-5+ years of experience in a technical data role such as analytics engineering, data science tooling, or backend scripting for analytics.
Strong programming skills in Python, with a track record of building and maintaining codebases for internal users.
Professional experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Fargate, ECR, S3, SNS/SQS) for automating and deploying tools.
Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work effectively with large, complex datasets.
Experience building, developing, and deploying Docker containers.
Demonstrated ability to understand analytics use cases and build tailored, reusable solutions.
Competence with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows (e.g., Terraform).
