About the role
- Senior Accountant leading close, reconciliations, payroll, and reporting at Uline, North America’s shipping-supplies distributor. On-site in Milton, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and accurate financial reporting
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls, investigate discrepancies, and ensure reporting accuracy
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for annual corporate tax filings
- Oversee the payroll process for Uline’s Canada operations, ensuring accurate processing, thorough audits, and compliance
- Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting workflows and internal controls
- Partner with teams across Uline on financial analysis, reporting, and business insights that support informed decisions
- Collaborate closely across accounting teams while managing core financial processes at the Milton facility
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA designation
- 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with HRIS systems like Workday is a plus
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate and influence across teams
