About the role
- Summer Student assisting with lawn maintenance and general shop cleanliness at Premier Equipment. Supporting team with grounds maintenance tasks and ensuring shop remains organized and safe.
Responsibilities
- Mow lawns and maintain grass areas around the property.
- Operate a weed eater/trimmer to keep edges, fence lines, and hard-to-reach areas neat.
- Assist with general yard and grounds maintenance as needed.
- Help keep the shop clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Sweep floors, remove garbage, and tidy work areas.
- Support staff with basic cleanup tasks around the facility.
- Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and working around the shop.
- Report any equipment issues, hazards, or maintenance concerns to a supervisor.
- Perform other general duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a lawnmower and weed eater is required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various summer weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in completing tasks properly.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be a student returning to school in the fall, if applicable.
