About the role

  • Program Manager managing principal gift implementation at University Advancement. Building donor relations and ensuring fulfillment of gift agreements with comprehensive stewardship strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with donors whose cooperation is important to the University
  • Managing donor relations
  • Writing detailed analytical profiles/research documents for senior development officers to inform decision-making and strategy development
  • Developing and implementing plans to support donor management and stewardship strategies and/or activities
  • Drafting donor acknowledgment and recognition communications
  • Producing complex donor reports
  • Formatting data collected for presentations and reports
  • Generating standard financial reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years related professional experience is required, including experience with direct donor relations, fundraising, marketing, or specials events experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in donor-related research, analysis, writing and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently; able to execute existing work while managing and responding to urgent opportunities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of fundraising and donor relations concepts, principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Detail-oriented person with an appreciation for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Exceptional communications skills, oral and written.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with an ability to engage and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with CRM database, Arbor preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to a high level of customer service, tact and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Evidence of leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail, and creativity.
