About the role
- Microsoft 365 & Purview Governance Architect leading design and implementation in managed services. Focus on security, compliance, and client collaboration in a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for Microsoft 365 architecture, design, and implementation across multiple client environments.
- Design and deploy secure, scalable solutions using Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, and compliance tools.
- Lead Microsoft Intune deployments, managing endpoint security, mobile device management (MDM), and application protection.
- Plan and execute complex SharePoint Online migrations, including legacy systems and file share transitions.
- Provide expert guidance on Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to scope and deliver successful projects.
- Support technical escalations, conduct environment reviews, and contribute to long-term Microsoft 365 roadmaps.
- Mentor internal technical teams to elevate Microsoft 365 capabilities across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and security.
- Experience in Microsoft Purview, including Data Classification, DLP policies, and Information Protection.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) for device compliance, app management, and Conditional Access.
- Demonstrated success in SharePoint Online migrations and modernization projects.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), identity management, and integration with Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow automation.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Cloud Apps, and Identity.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell.
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture principles.
- Experience supporting security and compliance initiatives in regulated industries (e.g., finance).
- Ability to manage multiple client projects and priorities in a high-demand MSP environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
