About the role

  • Remote Veterinarian providing virtual veterinary consultations for Canadian pet owners while collaborating with animal hospitals for better care access. Flexible schedule allows working remotely from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual consultations for pet owners in one or more of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick in accordance with applicable telemedicine regulations
  • Collaborate with hospitals to support their patient needs
  • Opportunity to provide care for exotics if desired

Requirements

  • Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
  • Unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in one or more of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a practicing veterinarian
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
  • Experience working with exotic species is considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to candidates licensed in multiple provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Florida, New York
  • A passion for improving access to veterinary care.
