About the role
- Remote Veterinarian providing virtual veterinary consultations for Canadian pet owners while collaborating with animal hospitals for better care access. Flexible schedule allows working remotely from home.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual consultations for pet owners in one or more of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick in accordance with applicable telemedicine regulations
- Collaborate with hospitals to support their patient needs
- Opportunity to provide care for exotics if desired
Requirements
- Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
- Unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in one or more of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a practicing veterinarian
- Strong client communication skills
- Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
- Experience working with exotic species is considered an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates licensed in multiple provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Florida, New York
- A passion for improving access to veterinary care.
