About the role

  • Site-based Quality Coordinator leading QA/QC inspections and documentation. Supporting Victor Energy’s electrical infrastructure construction projects and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project quality activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes, and Victor Energy's Quality Management System.
  • Execute quality assurance and quality control activities on the project site.
  • Coordinate and implement project QA/QC activities in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and client requirements.
  • Review, maintain, and control project quality documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of deficiencies.
  • Execute inspections for foundations, grounding, structure erection, conductor installation, and material receiving activities.
  • Perform and document inspections, maintaining check sheets, photographic records, and quality documentation.
  • Promote compliance with the Company Quality Manual, Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and client requirements.
  • Support quality team members and ensure compliance with contracts, client standards, provincial and federal regulations, and construction codes.
  • Coordinate material receiving inspections and verify material traceability, certification, storage, and conformance.
  • Identify and communicate missing or damaged material issues.
  • Document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), deficiencies, and corrective actions through closure.
  • Work closely with construction, project management, clients, quality leadership, and material management teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in construction of foundations, transmission, distribution and/or substations.
  • Utility construction or foundation construction experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply Codes, Standards, Specifications and Drawing.
  • Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience working on major utility construction projects is an asset.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Service-oriented with the ability to be assertive and persuasive.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Resourceful and maintains professional and technical skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel, as well as learning new software platforms.
  • Background as a Power Line Technician (PLT), Electrical Engineering Technologist, Construction Inspector, or Utility Inspector, or equivalent.
