About the role
- Senior Business Analyst leading healthcare interoperability initiatives for eHealth Saskatchewan. Defining requirements, data mappings, workflows, testing, and implementation across healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for healthcare interoperability and digital health initiatives
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements
- Analyze and document data mappings between source systems and target solutions
- Work with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR
- Collaborate with business, clinical, technical, vendor, and other stakeholders
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, meetings, and working sessions
- Document decisions, action items, and outcomes
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes
- Identify process gaps, opportunities, and impacts of proposed changes
- Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of integration, interoperability, data exchange, and business-process issues
- Develop business process models, workflows, use cases, business rules, metrics, and KPIs
- Prepare documentation, presentations, reports, and senior-leadership briefings
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Coordinate and support system, integration, and UAT testing
- Support QA, implementation, deployment, and go-live activities
- Support technology evaluation, procurement, and implementation
- Support organizational change management and stakeholder-impact assessments
- Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation activities
- Provide leadership and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and changing priorities
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience within a healthcare setting
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on data integration or interoperability projects
- Experience with HL7 v2
- Experience with HL7 FHIR
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and protocols
- Experience with data mapping between healthcare systems
- Experience with healthcare integration/interoperability projects
- Experience with digital health initiatives
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Experience defining business, functional, and technical requirements
- Experience with system integration and data exchange
- Business process analysis and process improvement experience
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering
- Experience working in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Experience with system, integration, and UAT testing
- Change management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
