Responsibilities

Own a substantial area of the product, from framing the problem with your team through delivering the solution customers actually use, and follow up afterward
Design AI-first workflows where the product does the real work for customers while they retain full control
Make genuinely complex situations understandable at a glance so customers can act with confidence
Put bold bets in front of real customers early, measure the results, and adapt the plan
Integrate AI into your way of working to go from a question to something concrete and testable within a few days
Raise the team’s bar through critique, high standards, and clear thinking that supports sound decisions

6+ years of experience designing complex business software, with shipped work that you have owned from the initial question through the final detail
Systems thinking: you design the entire journey and think about what comes next, rather than focusing on one screen at a time
The judgment required to make difficult-to-reverse decisions: what people see first, what they confirm, and what they can undo
A weekly habit of speaking with real customers, along with the discipline to let what they actually do change your direction
A design rationale you can defend aloud to designers, developers, and executives alike
Genuine comfort using AI in your own workflow, with the judgment to know where it helps and where it gets in the way
A desire to take your work all the way to completion yourself: refining it directly in the product and shipping those changes to production
Comfortable working without a clearly defined mandate: you identify the hypothesis, choose a direction, and keep learning
Bonus: experience designing for IT, security, data, or any audience where the user is an expert and a wrong move is costly
