About the role

- Build and structure a new team from scratch

- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle
- Champion development best practices, including testing and security
- Set clear expectations and manage technical debt
- Support and grow team members
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams
- Play an active role in the department's strategic planning
Requirements
- 3+ years as a software development manager
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Leadership or management training is an asset
- Proven experience leading modernization initiatives
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Experience building teams
- Demonstrated track record of developing team members
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies
