About the role
- Forward Deployed AI Value Engineer deploying AI-driven localization workflows for XTM’s enterprise translation management platform. Integrating APIs, advising global brands, and optimizing customer value.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and technically validate custom AI-driven localization workflows for pre-sales and expansion phases
- Lead technical onboarding and deployment of XTM AI features
- Integrate AI features through APIs with clients’ content management systems and data pipelines
- Define client value by mapping baseline metrics such as translation memory leverage, machine-translation edit distance, cost per word, and turnaround times
- Audit legacy localization setups and architect automated AI-first workflows within XTM
- Leverage advanced AI matching, automated tagging, and LLM capabilities
- Advise enterprise localization teams through operational change management for AI-augmented translation models
- Monitor post-onboarding feature utilization and identify opportunities to improve AI models, prompts, and customer ROI
- Provide customer feedback and real-world edge cases to XTM Product and R&D teams
- Operate as an individual contributor without direct people-management responsibilities
Requirements
- Profound, self-driven interest in Artificial Intelligence
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and neural machine translation (NMT)
- Proven track record of experimenting with new AI tools, models, and frameworks outside formal job requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and XML
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
- Ability to manipulate localization data including TMX and XLIFF
- Ability to automate tasks or analyze performance datasets
- Familiarity with Translation Management Systems (TMS), Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, or modern localization workflows highly preferred
- Ability to present complex technical AI architecture to engineering teams and explain business ROI to C-level executives
- Creative technical problem-solving ability to unblock clients and close deals faster
