About the role

  • Teaching Faculty Member for the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Responsible for teaching, mentoring, and fostering student success in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and facilitating counselling psychology theory and skills course
  • Fostering student success through ongoing support and coaching
  • Managing discussion forums and learning activities through the Brightspace platform
  • Timely marking and feedback for all student assessments
  • Responding to student inquiries and concerns
  • Coordinating with Practicum Supervisors to complete evaluations
  • Facilitating online synchronous activities related to the curriculum
  • Performing administrative tasks related to the course
  • Supporting strategic program growth and ongoing self-development

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in psychology or counselling related field
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in counselling, psychology, psychotherapy, or related field
  • Canadian faculty with active clinical practice registration/certification/license
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level is a strong asset
  • Experience using Brightspace online delivery platform is a strong asset
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal
