About the role

ETL Tester needed for remote contract role in Canada. Must have 8+ years of data testing experience, strong SQL skills, and GCP familiarity.

Responsibilities

Perform data quality testing for source-to-target reconciliation, query and validate large datasets in BigQuery, define data quality testing strategy and best practices, establish entry/exit criteria and performance testing strategy, conduct anomaly detection and root cause analysis, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

8+ years of experience in data testing, data validation / ETL testing. Strong SQL skills for querying and validating large datasets in BigQuery. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (preferably GCP). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for debugging data issues. Experience in defining data quality testing strategy, best practices, and frameworks. Ability to establish entry/exit criteria and performance testing strategy. Hands-on experience with anomaly detection and root cause analysis. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines.
