About the role
- Hands-on Lead Software Engineer to modernize enterprise platforms, build microservices, and integrate AI in a hybrid Toronto role.
Responsibilities
- We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to help build and modernize next-generation enterprise applications in a fast-moving, engineering-driven environment. This is not a “sit-back-and-manage” role—you’ll be deep in the code, guiding architecture decisions, mentoring developers, and driving real technical execution across cloud-native, microservices-based systems. You will work on modernizing a large enterprise platform (TRAX), building scalable microservices & event-driven systems, integrating AI-powered capabilities into real products, driving CI/CD, DevOps, and Kubernetes adoption, working hands-on with Python / .NET / React / Angular, and leading technical direction without formal management responsibilities.
Requirements
- Strong technical leadership (8–10+ years experience), deep experience in distributed systems & modern architecture, hands-on background in cloud (Azure preferred), DevOps, Kubernetes, ability to code, review, and guide engineering teams, experience with modern API-driven and scalable architectures, interest or exposure to AI/ML or GenAI integrations.
