About the role

  • Project Leader - Civil Engineer role leading infrastructure projects from concept to closeout. Requires 6-8 years project management experience with concrete structures and foundations.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the organizing, coordinating and controlling of all stages of project management in accordance with Project Management governance for assigned projects or project packages in all project phases from initiation to closeout. Perform project management activities throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring all project objectives and commitments are controlled and delivered within targets of safety, quality, budget and schedule. Provide input into project background information, contribute to scope and constructability reviews, assist in Business Case Submissions, and coordinate all information pertinent to assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering degree (B.Eng./BASc. or equivalent). 6-8 years of experience in project management, including developing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, participating in RFP and contract processes, managing execution and closeout. Hands-on experience with concrete, including structural concrete, foundations, formwork, reinforced concrete, or major concrete construction/rehabilitation projects. Knowledge of project management phases (Identification, Initiation, Definition, Execution, Closeout). Knowledge of economics and business principles for cost estimating and forecasting. Completion of post-secondary courses in project management and business economics or equivalent education.
