About the role
- Senior Technical Engineer/Officer for fire protection and emergency response at nuclear generating station in Pickering. 12-month contract, hybrid role requiring engineering degree and regulated facility experience.
Responsibilities
- Support fire protection and emergency response programs at a nuclear generating station. Key focus areas include CSA N293/N393 and NFPA compliance, emergency response documentation, fire protection systems, procedures, risk assessments, and preparation of clear, defensible technical and regulatory documentation.
Requirements
- 4-year Engineering degree (required). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with regulated facilities (nuclear, power generation, heavy industry). Familiarity with Fire Protection, Fire Hazard Assessments, or Fire Safe Shutdown is a strong asset.
