About the role
- Procom seeks a Software Testing Specialist with Python for a 12-month onsite contract in Oakville, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Procom is currently looking for a Software Testing Specialist, with Python experience for our client in the private sector. THIS CONTRACT HAS A TBD START DATE AND GOES FOR 12 MONTHS LATER (GREAT CHANCE OF ONGOING EXTENSIONS). LOCATION: ONSITE (THE CLIENT IS IN THE OAKVILLE AREA). LANGUAGE: ENGLISH. REFERENCES: 2. RESUMES DUE: ASAP.
Requirements
- Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in software testing or test automation, 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience, strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, DNS, DHCP, experience with GitHub or Git-based version control systems, strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Wi-Fi and/or cellular wireless technologies, experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or similar defect/test management systems, experience with automated testing frameworks and environments, exposure to Android-based systems, experience using packet analysis tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump, embedded systems testing experience is highly desirable. Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
