Responsibilities
Lead and own technical resolutions for production database incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and operational continuity. Communicate complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders and business partners. Maintain compliance with organizational standards for change control, security policies, and data protection. Analyze recurring issues to identify opportunities for service improvements. Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends. Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing. Requirements
5-7 years of hands-on experience with Azure Cloud databases, particularly MSSQL, including cloud migrations. Proficiency in PostgreSQL for at least 2 years. Strong experience with database setup, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring. Sound knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery procedures. Familiarity with automation of database maintenance tasks. Experience with disaster recovery planning and high availability configurations such as RAC. Understanding of cloud security practices and compliance standards. Nice to Have: Experience with ServiceNow Ticketing System, SolarWind Performance Monitoring tools, Azure Certification, Financial services industry experience.
