About the role
- Finance intern supporting 1Password, a cybersecurity company, with month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and tax projects. Remote across the United States and Canada.
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and other compliance needs
- Collaborate with team members on special accounting and tax research projects
- Process daily bank transactions
- Assist with US state tax filings
- Support ad hoc projects from various internal teams
- Work with finance and cross-functional teams to support accurate financial statements and efficient processes
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at an educational institution (e.g. college, university, bootcamp)
- Confidence: A willingness to take on new challenges, and see them through to completion
- Humility: You're not afraid to ask "stupid" questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them)
- Curiosity: You look for better ways of doing things

- Intermediate skills in Excel and Google Sheets
- Keen interest in technology and software tools
- Ability to learn independently and quickly adapt to new environments
- Must live in and be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
- Must already be authorized to work; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or sponsorship/transferring of a visa provided
