About the role
- Finance Intern supporting technical accounting research, quarter-end reporting, and treasury operations. Contributing to cash management and financial risk work at cybersecurity company 1Password.
Responsibilities
- Research and document technical accounting conclusions
- Support quarter-end procedures, controls, schedules, and audit documentation
- Update daily cash positioning worksheets and dashboards
- Prepare variance analyses, monitor liquidity, and track daily cash activity
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and transaction inquiries
- Contribute to ad hoc strategic projects and process improvements
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Finance Operations, and other partners
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at an educational institution (e.g. college, university, bootcamp)
- Must live in and be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
- No work authorization, relocation assistance, sponsorship, or visa transfer provided
- Willingness to take on new challenges and see them through to completion
- Coursework in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is a bonus
- Exposure to US GAAP, financial reporting, or technical accounting research is a bonus
- Interest in treasury, cash management, insurance, or financial risk is a bonus
- Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to learn new systems is a bonus
- Experience creating process documentation or working with dashboards is a bonus
- Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills, including organizing data and using formulas, are a bonus
- Successful applicants must complete a background check
