About the role

Finance Solutions Engineer building financial POCs and demos for Abacum’s business planning platform. Partnering with Sales to translate customer needs into models, dashboards, and compelling use cases.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales to design and build Proofs of Concept (POCs) demonstrating value to prospective customers
Translate customer requirements into Abacum models and dashboards
Work across industries, ramping on new business models and metrics
Own and maintain demo environments so they remain up-to-date, reliable, and aligned with go-to-market needs
Create demo assets and use cases for different segments, industries, and sales motions
Incorporate new product developments into demo environments and translate features into real-world scenarios
Help shape repeatable POC frameworks, demo templates, and playbooks

2–5 years experience in FP&A, Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or similar
Strong financial modeling skills
Excel / Google Sheets proficiency is essential
Solid understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV/CAC, cohorts)
Understanding of B2B and/or B2C business models
Ability to structure ambiguous problems quickly with a commercial mindset
High learning velocity and comfort picking up new tools quickly
English at a bilingual level is required
Experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing analytics roles is nice-to-have
Experience building or maintaining demo environments or product showcases is nice-to-have
Exposure to financial planning tools / BI tools is nice-to-have
Startup or high-growth environment experience is nice-to-have
