Project Coordinator supporting Hydro design team in Utilities sector at Aecon. Ensuring project deliverables with administrative and quality assurance support.
Responsibilities
Support designers by organizing project documentation and preparing GCF packages.
Perform rigorous QA/QC reviews on all deliverables to ensure they meet internal standards and utility requirements prior to client submission.
Monitor project milestones and attainment metrics to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare invoice requests based on completed milestones and maintain accurate project databases, folders, and shared drives.
Assist with critical permit applications, including Form 1000 and Notices of Project.
Manage customer communication lists and draft notification materials for project-affected stakeholders.
Coordinate internal and external meetings by preparing agendas and recording minutes.
Assist management with planning team-building activities and client appreciation events while fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, or Engineering Technology
1–3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative support, preferably within the utilities or engineering sector
Strong computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project tracking tools
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
Comfort working in a hybrid environment with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
