About the role

  • Project Coordinator supporting Hydro design team in Utilities sector at Aecon. Ensuring project deliverables with administrative and quality assurance support.

Responsibilities

  • Support designers by organizing project documentation and preparing GCF packages.
  • Perform rigorous QA/QC reviews on all deliverables to ensure they meet internal standards and utility requirements prior to client submission.
  • Monitor project milestones and attainment metrics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare invoice requests based on completed milestones and maintain accurate project databases, folders, and shared drives.
  • Assist with critical permit applications, including Form 1000 and Notices of Project.
  • Manage customer communication lists and draft notification materials for project-affected stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings by preparing agendas and recording minutes.
  • Assist management with planning team-building activities and client appreciation events while fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, or Engineering Technology
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative support, preferably within the utilities or engineering sector
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project tracking tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
