About the role

  • Procurement Contracts Specialist administering and negotiating contracts for the Lynn Lake Gold Project. Collaborating with teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate timely delivery of procurement contracts in collaboration with the corporate legal team and project stakeholders
  • Administer, coordinate, and process purchasing instruments (contracts, purchase orders, amendments, change orders.) ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and applicable legislation
  • Lead the creation of contracting strategies, including preparation and execution of RFx/Tender processes
  • Oversee pre-award reviews, finalize post-award contracts, manage amendments, and oversee the closure of contracts
  • Negotiate contract terms and renewals in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders
  • Manage the end-to-end RFP process, including vendor selection, bid evaluation, negotiation, and adjudication
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities to achieve organizational and site-specific cost reduction targets
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive contract documentation throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate sourcing strategies, procurement policies, and contractual obligations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and third-party service providers to meet project requirements and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to address and resolve contract-related issues
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of best practices in sourcing strategies, contract management processes, and procurement policies
  • Identify areas for improvement in contract formation and administration to enhance efficiency and compliance

Requirements

  • A post Secondary degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years contract formation, execution and management
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement and managing large tender processes, preferably in the mining or project-based sectors
  • Technical knowledge of contract law, claims and holdback processes
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and team commitment
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and/or construction (asset)
  • Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana (asset)
  • Bilingual in French and English (asset)
