About the role

  • Senior Associate supporting American Express Loyalty product development across international markets. Translating customer needs into features, coordinating technology delivery, testing, and launches.

Responsibilities

  • Support key Loyalty initiatives across multiple business units and functions
  • Identify and translate conceptual business requirements into product features
  • Work with platform product owners to define user stories
  • Partner with platform, country, and end-to-end technology and delivery teams to clarify scope and address market nuances
  • Explain required customer experiences so platform and design teams can develop appropriate solutions
  • Partner with product and technology teams throughout the build lifecycle
  • Ensure end-to-end plans contain accurate technology delivery milestones and provide updates to the end-to-end project manager
  • Provide subject matter expertise for go-to-market materials
  • Support user test planning, execution, defect follow-up, beta testing, and launch activities
  • Raise and manage issues and risks in accordance with governance structures
  • Act as a delegate for the Loyalty product lead or end-to-end project manager

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to collect and analyse information for problem solving and defining potential solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of achieving results and working with different organizational levels, customers, and partners
  • High degree of integrity and willingness to report or raise risks and concerns
  • Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing partners in a matrix environment without direct responsibility
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo, driving alternate solutions, and testing new ideas
  • Resilience when learning from mistakes and setbacks
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of American Express products and business operations preferred
  • Tech savvy and experience delivering via the SAFe Agile methodology preferred
  • Proven delivery track record in a matrix environment preferred
  • Employment eligibility to work in Canada; American Express will not pursue visa sponsorship
